Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong Player Profile

Former world-number one mixed doubles pair Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong have been making good music together since teaming up. They are two-time World Champions (2018, 2019) as well as the 2018 Asian Games, gold medalists. They were also part of the contingent that won the 2019 Sudirman Cup and were victors at the 2019 All-England Open.

Zheng and Huang have earned accolades away from each other as well. The former helped China win the 2018 Thomas Cup while the latter was adjudged Female Player of the Year by the BWF in 2018 and 2019.

Prior to their partnership, Zheng reached number one in mixed doubles back in 2016 with Chen Qingchen and Huang was with Lu Kai when they won the 2017 All England Open and the 2017 Asian Championships.

Despite these accomplishments, both Huang and Zheng were left out of the Chinese squad that would be participating at the TotalEnergies BWF Thomas and Uber Cup Finals 2022, a testament to the country’s depth in personnel and talent.
