BWF World Championships 2023 Results Day 2 – Pusarla V Sindhu’s reaction after shocking loss
Former champion PV Sindhu’s wretched run continued as she bowed out of the World Championships.
It is the first time in her career that Sindhu, seeded 16th, has failed to reach the quarterfinals at the prestigious tournament.
“I need to go back and work on my physical and mental fitness. These losses make you feel bad but it’s part and parcel of the game and life. She (Okuhara) is coming back, and getting her confidence back. When you get an injury it takes time to come back. Those one or two matches are important to get rhythm, and that might take time.”, the Indian shuttler commented on her defeat.
