Lee So-Hee and Shin Seung-Chan are the current BWF world number two in women’s singles.

Rankings & Achievements

Their partnership dates back for more than a decade, their first win together as a pair going back to 2011 at the BWF World Junior Championships held in Taiwan. Their first seniors level title came in 2012, copping the Iceland International and the Tata Open India International.

Since then, they have garnered eight more BWF World Tour, Super Series, and Grand Prix titles. The last one they took was the Super 750-level French Open in 2021, defeating in two games fellow Koreans Kim So-Yeong and Kong Hee-Yong for the top prize.

Both Lee and Shin were in the 2016 Uber Cup silver medal squad as well as the 2020 contingent that reached the semifinals. They are hoping that this May in Thailand they and their team would do better and lift South Korea’s second tournament championship.
