Wang Yilyu and Huang Dongping Player Profile 

Wang Yilyu and Huang Dongping are one of two Chinese pairs in the top five of the BWF world ranking in mixed doubles. 

Together, they won the gold medal in mixed doubles at the 2020 Summer Olympics. They have also garnered championships in BWF’s team-based tournaments (2018 Thomas Cup, 2020 Uber Cup, 2019 and 2021 Sudirman Cup). 

Wang and Huang are also a two-time Asian Championships winner, doing so in back-to-back years (2018, 2019). Aside from those, they have collected seven BWF World Tour titles, one Superseries first place finish, and two BWF Grand Prix Gold tournament trophies. 

They briefly held the number one ranking in mixed doubles in two occasions in 2018 for a total of five weeks. 

Huang is included in the Chinese lineup for the BWF Uber Cup Finals 2022. Despite being the lowest ranked player in women’s doubles on her team, she will do her utmost best to defend the crown.
